What is a family office?

A family office is a private wealth-management advisory firm. Family offices serve ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families, offering a comprehensive range of financial services that aim to preserve and grow wealth across generations. The services include—but are not limited to—everything from investment management and estate planning to tax and philanthropy services.

Family offices can be single-family (serving one family) or multi-family (serving multiple families). Family offices often coordinate with other professional advisors, such as accountants, attorneys, tax specialists, and more, to ensure a cohesive and strategic approach to financial affairs.
