What are private market alternatives?

Private market alternatives are alternative assets that are specifically within private markets, instead of traded on public exchanges. Alternative assets refer to those that fall outside of traditional investment classes like stocks and bonds.

Private market alternatives offer portfolio diversification and have historically outperformed public exchanges during major downturns (just take a look at the last 15 years).

There is a wide range of private market alternatives to explore:

  • Venture capital
  • Private equity
  • Commodities
  • Real assets
  • Fine art
  • Collectibles
  • Real estate, like farmland
  • Fine wine and rare spirits

Invest in venture capital and similar alternative assets using tax-advantaged retirement funds.
